My Most Memorable Experience in China

While in China, I gained enough amazing experiences and great memories to last a lifetime so when asked to pick out a particular experience that I felt outshined all the others it is very difficult. I visited so many beautiful temples and palaces that I cannot, imagine any other place on earth being more beautiful. However, one particular place that we visited and that was definitely the highlight of my experience in China was visiting the Great Wall.

I have always wanted to visit the Great Wall since I could remember. When I first arrived there, it took my breath away. Without a doubt, the Great Wall is the most beautiful place that I have ever been in my life, bar none! The spectacular views and pure majesty of the wall alone is incredible, impossible to describe in words. Standing on the wall, was like standing in the middle of three thousand years of Chinese culture and history. I was actually walking on brocks laid by thousands of men and women who paid in blood and sweat to complete what is one of the most amazing, if not the most amazing, man made structure ever built.

The wall extends over three thousand miles and if I could, I'd walk every mile. It stretches across valleys, mountain ranges, from the east to the west of China. This unbelievable feat was accomplished over hundreds of years and millions of people. So for me just visiting the wall alone, is a way of paying homage to their bard work. The Great Wall is such a stunning and magnificent achievement in Chinese history. Simply being able to see it and touch it in person was the most remarkable experience I had while in China.
