China Project
1999-2002
The China Project is a two-tier initiative designed to promote
understanding and awareness about China among largely New York
City secondary school teachers and students. The teacher-centered
component is a continuing in-service professional development
program to assist educators in learning and teaching about China.
Generously funded by The Freeman Foundation, this project provides
educators and young people with the knowledge and hands-on experience
that will enable them to make a greater contribution to understanding
China. The program has three major components.
