The China Project is an initiative designed to promote understanding and awareness about China among secondary school teachers and students in New York. The program is generously funded by the Freeman Foundation and sponsored by the American Forum For Global Education. For the past six years, the American Forum for Global Education has taken six groups of teachers and ten groups of students from high schools of New York City and surrounding area to China in an in-country study travel program. For the year 2002 Student China Program, we took on the theme "China: Changeless and Changing" to specifically look at the drastic transition that is undergoing currently in China.
